I recently started watching Dandadan and was immediately hooked by its wild mix of supernatural elements, hilarious moments, and fast-paced action. It's not like anything I've seen before. The first two episodes did remind me of an old anime called FLCL but it quickly turned into something different.
My thoughts on Episode 7.
The episode kicks off with Momo and Okarun facing off against a powerful new supernatural threat. But what really stands out in this episode is the emotional stakes as both characters face personal challenges that tie into the larger storyline.
Without spoiling too much
This scene had me in tears.
If you know, you know.
This episode does a great job of showing more depth to Okarun’s character. He’s no longer just a fumbling protagonist; his resilience and determination come to the forefront, especially when he’s forced to confront his own fears.
The fight scenes in Episode 7 are some of the most intense we’ve seen so far, with the animation perfectly capturing the chaotic energy of the battles. The transitions between calm moments and explosive action are seamless.
Dandadan continues to strike the perfect balance between humor and high stakes. Despite the intense moments, the absurdity of the monsters and the quick-witted dialogue keeps the tone lighthearted.
A big theme in Episode 7 is self-discovery and courage. Both Momo and Okarun are forced to confront their own insecurities, which adds a layer of depth to the action-packed plot.
This episode Dandadan is a great mix of high-energy action, emotional depth, and off-the-wall humor. If anything, it makes me even more excited for the next chapter in this wild ride
